Walking: The Kerry Way is one of the most  popular Way Marked Trails in Ireland. Long and short distance walking throughout the Ring of Kerry and the Ring of Bearra. The mountain ranges  are mostly accessible and give excellent views of both Kerry and Cork.  It really is a walkers paradise with a huge diversity of walks for all abilities. You can walk from the Pound House and discover many, many wonderful  places.

Fishing: All kinds of fishing are available locally from sea fishing at Adrigole and Castletown to river fishing at Kilmakilloge  and lake fishing at Cloonee Lakes, (hire boats available). There is also fishing at Kenmare, Glengariff, Bantry and Killarney.

Shopping:Kenmare offers a good selection of shops, many of interest. Killarney is a very large shopping town with everything  from gift and craft shops to cloth shops and a new large Tesco supermarket.

Sailing: Adrigole Marina and due to open in 2002,Kenmare Marina. Further details of sailing opportunities available from tourist  offices.

Cycling: A great and healthy way to explore and  enjoy the beauty of the Ring of Kerry. Bicycles are available for hire  from Kenmare, Glengariff and other places. Details available through all  tourist offices. Bus & Coach Tours: are available from Killarney daily and will take you through the Ring of Kerry. Details available through  all tourist offices.
